    Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Jakarta, Indonesia

    About the zone

Brought to you in partnership with Hong Kong Baptist University, the One Health and Well-being Zone returns – now reimagined and enhanced for its second edition. This dedicated sanctuary offers congress participants a space to pause, recharge and restore their well-being amid the bustle of the congress programme.

Drawing on HKBU’s holistic approach, the zone seamlessly blends Eastern wisdom – such as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), tai chi and mindfulness practices – with cutting-edge modern science, including insights from neuroscience, sports science, digital health and AI-driven wellness innovations.

The collaboration fosters novel solutions and research in sustainable health and wellness, bringing together thought leaders and experts from around the world.

    Activities to take part in

    Walk to live well

Begin your day with a 2km guided outdoor walk as part of the ‘walk to live well’ campaign. This gentle, energising activity blends light movement with simple mindfulness techniques to boost circulation, sharpen focus and awaken body and mind.

Join the walk to connect with fellow attendees and set a positive tone for the rest of the day. Participants will receive a commemorative gift to celebrate the experience and HKBU’s 70th anniversary.

    Tai chi

Experience the evidence-based benefits of tai chi through slow, graceful movements that improve balance, flexibility and reduce stress. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, this gentle practice supports overall musculoskeletal health and cardiovascular well-being.

Suitable for all levels and fitness backgrounds – no prior experience required. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing that allows for fluid movement.

    Mindfulness karate

This workshop integrates traditional karate techniques with mindfulness practices to promote physical coordination, mental focus and stress reduction. Participants engage in guided exercises that combine controlled movements, breathing methods and meditative elements derived from karate principles.

Suitable for all fitness levels – no prior experience is needed. Please wear comfortable clothing.

    Baduanjin

Experience the evidence-based benefits of baduanjin through eight simple, flowing exercises that enhance vitality, flexibility, muscular strength and respiratory function while calming the mind and reducing stress. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, this gentle Qigong practice supports overall musculoskeletal and cardiovascular well-being.

Suitable for all fitness levels – please wear comfortable clothing.

    Traditional Chinese massage

Discover the healing touch of traditional Chinese massage, where various techniques ease tension and restore balance to the body. Experience deep relaxation while gaining insight into how Chinese medicine nurtures musculoskeletal health through manual therapy.

There is limited availability on days 2, 3 and 4 of the congress – book your 10-minute massage at the Well-being Zone reception desk.

    Acupoint: Body hack challenge

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), applying pressure to specific acupoints offers a natural way to ease symptoms of anxiety, depression and insomnia. In this engaging and interactive challenge, you will learn and test your knowledge of these powerful points through a fun team-based recall game.

Open to all, with the winning team receiving a special wellness prize.

    Recharge Lounge

The Recharge Lounge is a calm, multi-purpose space at the heart of the One Health and Well-being Zone. It hosts the zone's wellness activities and, during downtime, becomes a quiet area where attendees can rest and unwind between sessions. A carefully curated music playlist will play softly in the background.

Whether you need a short break after a busy morning or a moment to recharge during the day, the Recharge Lounge offers a comfortable place to pause and return to the congress feeling refreshed.
