    Health and well-being

    Track partner

    Preventative, personalised, planetary

As health systems face rising inequalities, climate disruption, ageing populations and rapid technological change, the focus is shifting from treating illness to preventing and managing risk. This track explores how universities, governments, healthcare systems, businesses and communities can work together to build healthier, more equitable and resilient societies.

Looking beyond healthcare delivery, it examines how living and working environments, urban design, food systems, technology and research shape health and well-being. As the world approaches the final years of the Sustainable Development Goals and shapes the post-2030 agenda, the track asks: How can health and human well-being be placed at the heart of sustainable development?

    Discussion topics

Our expert speakers and senior decision-makers in health and well-being will debate four big questions shaping the future.

    1. How do we shift from treating illness to creating healthier societies?

How governments, universities, healthcare providers and businesses can move beyond reactive healthcare towards prevention and long-term well-being.

    2. How can we build more equitable, accessible and resilient health systems?

What new models of healthcare delivery, financing and international collaboration are required to build equitable and resilient healthcare systems for the future?

    3. How can technology and research transform health outcomes for everyone?

As artificial intelligence, digital health, precision medicine and biotechnology reshape healthcare, how can we ensure that innovation delivers meaningful improvements in people’s lives? How can universities, industry and governments accelerate the translation of research into affordable, scalable solutions?

    4. How do we protect human health and well-being in a rapidly changing world?

How are climate change, environmental degradation, urbanisation and changing lifestyles reshaping global health challenges?
